Each day millions of pieces of data are generated across a single oil and gas field. It’s at times overwhelming and daunting to make out what this data actually means and how to make informed decisions based on it. With the fall in oil prices how can engineers increase the efficiency of our industry and help arrive at better results by applying buzzword concepts like “Analytics”, “Big Data” and “Machine Learning” to the countless amount of data that is generated within our companies. During this presentation we will discuss how these analytics are implemented and what does the end result look like.
Mark Derry P.Eng. is a professional engineer with 11 years of experience in oil and gas. He has worked on both domestic and international producing assets. Currently he is working with Husky Energy with a focus on developing analytics and big data capabilities, and establishing a data science practice. Mark is also an avid photographer, hiker and snowboarder.
Don't miss out and sign up today! Early bird pricing ends on Feb 12th!
