Abstract:

Join the Society of Petroleum Engineers Young Professionals for a workshop on how to GET THINGS DONE.

To open the seminar, Ian Dundas, CEO of Enerplus, and Myron Stadnyk, CEO of ARC Resources, will present their career path to success, what it takes to run an energy company, and answer questions from the crowd as a kick off to the main event.

Lorraine A. Moore, a strategic advisor, author, and speaker with Accelerate Success, will then lead the group in exploring strategies to help accomplish business, personal, and career goals. The aim of the workshop is to provide the attendees with insight on how to progress when facing difficult challenges and how to maintaina balanced life. The seminar is meant to be both interactive as well as informative and the cocktails after the seminar provide a great networking opportunity with fellow attendees. Please join us for an afternoon that will help you successfully deal with anything that life throws your way!

Speaker Bios:

Lorraine A. Moore consults, speaks, and writes on a variety of business and life issues. Based in Calgary, Canada, Lorraine engages with organizations and audiences across North America. Her clients are CEOs of mid-cap firms, corporate executives of Fortune 500 companies and their leadership teams. Lorraine’s clients encompass Energy, Oil and Gas, Life Sciences, Professional Services, Banking, Insurance and more. Inductee into the Million Dollar Consulting Hall of Fame and author of two books, Feet to the Fire©: How to Exemplify and Create the Accountability that Creates Great Companies, and The 360 Degree CEO©: Generating Profits While Leading and Living with Passion and Principles, Lorraine’s clients benefit from her experience as a corporate executive. Lorraine holds a BA from Western University and an MBA from Athabasca University.

Ian Dundas currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enerplus, joined Enerplus as Vice-President of Business Development in 2002. He held many roles throughout Enerplus including Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Enerplus, he held several executive positions in the merchant banking business, where he helped oil and gas companies grow by accessing the funding and expertise they required. Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction)from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction) from the University of Alberta.

Myron M. Stadnyk currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of ARC Resources, joined ARC in 1997 as the company’s first operations employee. He has held various positions throughout the company including President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining ARC, Mr. Stadnyk worked with a major oil and gas company in both domestic and international operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Myron is a board member of the University of Saskatchewan Engineering Advancement Trust,STARS Air Ambulance, and is active with various charitable organizations. Mr. Stadnyk is an independent director to the Board of PrairieSky Royalty.
