Developing an asset has evolved into a heavily embedded multidisciplinary team approach. This integrated team development strategy incorporates geological, geophysical, reservoir engineering, rock mechanics and more. As operators trend to bigger completions and tighter well spacing, an integrated team approach that applies geophysics to non-geophysical challenges becomes imperative especially when trying to minimize offsetting well impacts. In this presentation, Painted Pony – a north east BC Montney player – will present how its unique integrated organizational structure produces efficiently risked full field development plans and in-depth inventory optimization.
Jennifer Gee has been a Development Engineer E.I.T at Painted Pony Energy since May 2016. She is actively involved with SPE and is currently on the Programs Team with the Young Professionals Calgary section, a mentor to the SPE student chapter, in addition to having served on the SPE Montney Workshop committee for the past two years. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Oil and Gas Engineering with Distinction from the University of Calgary.
Chelsea Squires has been a Geophysicist I.T. at Painted Pony Energy since November 2017. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Earth Sciences and a Master of Science in Geophysics at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Chelsea is current chair of the CSEG’s University Student Outreach Committee, member of the CSEG Digital Media Committee, CSEG Mentor and Olympic weightlifter.
