Sebastien Chabot graduated from McGill University with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 2001 and holds the Derivative Market Specialist designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. Over the past 20+ years, Sebastien has forged a multifaceted career spanning engineering, physical and financial trading, and business development across Canada, the USA, France, and Switzerland. With Hitachi Global Solutions, he spearheaded the development of proprietary trading software, leading an international team of developers. As a physical trader, Sebastien oversaw transactions exceeding 100,000 barrels per day, equivalent to half a billion CAD in monthly value. Today, as the founder of Tartigrade Ltd., Sebastien specializes in paper arbitrage trading, leveraging his expertise to optimize trading processes and foster innovation. TTG is transacting over $250 million in options value per year. Sebastien’s vision extends beyond trading. His company supports the Foundation of the Energy Collective (FEC), a Canadian charity dedicated to sustainability and community empowerment. FEC’s 130-acre property in Priddis, Alberta, serves as a launchpad for projects integrating renewable energy, local agriculture, and sustainable infrastructure.
