SPE Canadian Educational Foundation

The SPE Canadian Educational Foundation (SPECEF) is an entity under SPE Canada that offers annual scholarships to post-secondary students pursing an education and future career in the energy industry. Since its inception in 2016, they have succeeded in distributing over $700,000 CAD to students across Canada to help them pursue their education and support the next generation of energy industry professionals! 

They also offer a Corporate Partner Scholarship program, where energy companies offer a $5,000 CAD scholarship tied to an internship that applicants have the chance to opt-in to be considered. This program allows energy companies the opportunity to gain recognition and receive applications from students across Canada, while offering a unique opportunity for students to acquire a financial award and a guaranteed interview for an internship, which would provide them with valuable industry experience prior to graduation.
